Everyone in theatre has a favourite show, usually a list of 5-to-70. Godspell is my favourite. It has everything: A score with different musical styles, a fast, funny, poignant book with the ability to create with your cast. It is a classic that has endured the test of time and style and has continued to delight, and hopefully enlighten, audiences for nearly 40 years. And, in this particular production, even a kitchen sink.
But most importantly it shows our Lord, loving, teaching, impassioned. Real. The cast & crew join me in hopes and prayers that the real Jesus will impact you tonight deeply, passionately, and individually.
Enjoy the show.
