Director's Note

Roughly 10 years ago I performed the roles of Thomas & Judas in this play, among others. I remember going through the book of Mark in preparation & learning many things. This year in preparation for directing & during rehearsals I've gone through it again. So many new things have captured my attention: The bond of love that Christ felt for the people He encountered, the anguish His family must have felts in "letting Him go". Also I have stolen this thought from a very wise woman, "if you had to sum up the book of Mark in one word, that word would be AND." But of all these things the one that impacted me the most, this time, was that he never taught without the use of a parable or a story. He taught in stories to educate and to inspire. This is also the goal of Masquer ministries. Our prayer tonight is that you "travel" away from this place challenged and with a new understanding.
